A Compact two bed courtyard house that replaced a garage on a small 10m x 5m plot. The prefabricated timber framed building sits on a reinforced concrete retaining structure, clad in panels of planned thermowood. The dwelling is entered through a polished black stainless steel gate which leads to a small private courtyard and the entrance to the house. The bedrooms are located on the ground-floor. The living room and kitchen are on the first floor. The dining space features large french doors mirroring the window below. The arrangement of timber cladding over the doors is intended to slightly conceal views of the neighbouring gable end.

The interior of the house features more of the thermowood cladding to the ground-floor bathroom and recycled white rubber flooring throughout.

The house is timber framed with insulated panels fabricated off site to ensure good thermal efficiency and air tightness throughout.
